Tiger Bill Talk
Click the video that follows to find out what Joe wanted drummers to know about his book Master Studies. I hope you enjoy it.
And I have to remind you that this is your last chance to attend DrumBeat Fest 2011 Tribute to Joe Morello. It’s on Saturday, October 22nd at the NJ School of Percussion (where Joe used to teach) on 14 Northfield Ave. in West Orange, NJ 07052. I’ve put together a terrific lineup of talented performers and educators including John Riley and Steve Fidyk and we’re looking forward to spending a special day with you during which we honor the instructor who put us on the correct path to drumming. I’m sure it will inspire many of you to follow us on a path to drumming that uses techniques that work with the body, not against it.
If you watch the above video you can see that I have no stress, no strain even when playing Joe’s Master Studies exercises at 160 bpm. And that’s not even my top speed for that particular drill. Playing is as effortless as walking on a beach for me and that’s the way it should for everyone. If you’d like to understand why technique is so easy and effective for some drummers while others sweat, strain and struggle to squeeze it out, join us for our DrumBeat Fest 2001 Tribute to Joe. I guarantee it will inspire you and I know that it will inspire me!
We still have a few tickets left so please make your purchase today before it’s too late. You will probably never have the chance to gain so much valuable drumming information from so many Morello students all in the same place ever again.
Follow this link for tickets – only $25: http://www.drummerswishlist.com/products/Tickets-to-DrumBeat-Fest-2011-Tribute-to-Joe-Morello.html
And don’t forget about the valuable door prizes you can win, provided by our generous sponsors which include Alfred Publishing, Axis Percussion, Coady Clutch, DRUM! Magazine, DW, LP, Pro-Mark, Remo, Sabian, Vater, Yamaha, and Zildjian.
I hope to see you there.
Thanks for your support.
