Tiger Bill Talk
[flashvideo file=http://www.tigerbill.com/media/drumdemo09a.flv /]
Above is just a small sampling of what you’ll experience when you attend one of my drum clinics. And the best part is that most of them are free of charge, thanks to some of my generous sponsors!
If you live in New Jersey or neighboring states, I invite you to join me on Thursday, June 18 from 7 to 9 PM for my Free Drum Clinic at Sam Ash in Edison, NJ. Admission is FREE and I will be providing hands-on instruction in my Tension Free Drumming Concepts. The clinic also kicks-off the release of Volume Two of my Concepts of Tension Free Drumming: Hand Technique DVD along with my book of developmental exercises. And I’ll also be offering a special one-time discount price so you won’t want to miss it! And, as if that wasn’t enough, I’ll be giving away some cool door prizes too! Compliments of SABIAN, Pro-Mark, Hansenfutz, and Alfred Publishing. So come and join me. We’ll have a blast… Guaranteed!

Stumbling upon a new talent is almost as much fun as playing drums myself, especially when that talent happens to be an exceptionally young artist who is playing well beyond his or her years.
I received an email recently from the parents of an 8-year-old asking me to evaluate their son’s drumming skills. His performance was impressive, to say the least. This 8-year-old, who has been playing since the age of 5, has an obvious natural talent for drums and is already performing at nearly twice his age level. I was so impressed that I invited him to play at my DrumBeat Festival this October where I will officially introduce him to the rest of the drumming world!
If you haven’t done so already, click on the above video link and check him out. It’s a brief teaser, which just scrapes the surface of what Michael “Mikey” Manasseh can do, but it will give you a good taste of things to come. Just wait until you see little Mikey’s entire performance. Coming to DrumBeat Festival 2009 this October, which I will again be producing as a charity event with all proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. But, this year, my Fest will have an entirely new twist! Stay tuned for more.
Little Mikey is definitely a new talent to watch and you’ll be seeing more of him soon. In fact he reminds me of another young drum phenom by the name of Cole Marcus who I first met when he was only 4-years old. At that time, he was already playing years beyond his age. Cole, now just 10-years old, is a working professional! It’s talented kids like these who are the future of drumming. So stay tuned and stay informed!

What DrumHeads Are Saying…
Subject: TigerBill’s DrumBeat News – Put Some Ki in Your Drumming
I have enjoyed each issue of your Newsletters tremendously! I have lost track of time these last couple of nights …until 3:30-4:00 AM just basking; soaking; embracing; totally lost in amazement while I watch these vintage clips of all our percussion heroes. I literally have goosebumps as I write this. I have to hit the sack “early” tonight for I have a four day American Technical Educators Conference www.ATEA.ORG conference in Chattanooga, TN starting tomorrow. So, I’ll pick up up where I’m leaving off; once I get some time to hang loose in Chatt. Thanks for all your time, devotion and having ‘fun’ loving what you do for all of us Drum-Heads!
Loosening-up every day (long story… ),
